About

Engineering that has to hold up in the field.

I'm an Electrical Engineer on the PIF Azm Program, a national development program that places Saudi engineers on Vision 2030 giga-projects while completing a Pearson Edexcel Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision.

I'm deployed to the Qiddiya Speed Park Track, an FIA Grade 1 circuit and the future home of the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, on site with El Seif Engineering Contracting, a PIF portfolio company.

I earned my PMP® during the programme, passing Above Target on the first attempt, studied around full days of live construction work.

My technical foundation is power systems. Before the site, it was the grid.

What holds my attention is the question underneath the installation: what did we plan, what actually happened, and what does the gap tell us before it becomes expensive.

  1. PIF Azm Program · April 2026 – Present · Riyadh

Site Electrical Engineer — Azm Program

Qiddiya Speed Park Track, on site with El Seif Engineering Contracting, a PIF portfolio company

Selected for the PIF Azm Program, a national development program placing Saudi engineers on Vision 2030 giga-projects.

    • Work across medium and high voltage electrical systems, distribution infrastructure and substations, backed by formal MV/HV training.
    • Support project controls: schedule tracking, progress monitoring against planned milestones, and variance reporting to project management.
    • Deliver quality control and assurance through WIR and ITP procedures, with NCR root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
    • Review material submittals and shop drawings against project specifications, Saudi Building Code and IEC standards.
    • Coordinate MEP interfaces across electrical, civil and mechanical disciplines to protect construction sequence and mitigate delivery risk.
    • Enforce HSE compliance and site governance in line with OSHA and IOSH practice.
    • Apply cost monitoring, contract management and procurement principles from the Level 4 NVQ to live site works.
  2. Saudi Energy Company · June – August 2024

    Electrical Engineering Intern

Distribution and Automation Group, Asir Region

    • Supported a Vision 2030 distribution automation project targeting a 50% reduction in alarm response time and 20% higher operational efficiency.
    • Conducted Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on LBS, SRMU and SMRMU distribution switchgear, verifying performance against specification before field deployment.
    • Worked the ASIR-CR distribution control centre, monitoring live network status, interpreting fault data and reporting on system performance.
    • Diagnosed and resolved faults across the medium voltage network: reclosers, transformers and voltage regulators.
    • Conducted load flow, protection coordination and reliability studies; supported testing and commissioning of HV transformers and circuit breakers.
    • Performed preventive maintenance testing and prepared technical documentation and compliance reports.
  3. King Khalid University · August 2023 – March 2025

    President, IEEE Student Branch

Elected President after serving as Vice President.

    • Inherited a branch running on zero budget and rebuilt it into 40+ events reaching 1,400+ participants.
    • Built industry and academic partnerships from nothing to secure speakers, content and funding.
    • Led the organising team across planning, sponsorship, procurement, logistics and execution.
    • Managed event budgets and post-event reporting across the branch calendar.
  4. Family enterprise · Saudi Arabia

    Partner & Co-Owner — Wasom Almoheet Co.

Real estate, sub-contracting (heavy equipment & fleet), transport, hospitality

Held alongside a full-time engineering degree.

    • Contributed to establishing an in-house maintenance workshop with direct OEM parts sourcing, replacing outsourced servicing with internal capability.
    • Managed procurement and vendor engagement end-to-end: issuing RFQs, benchmarking quotations against scope, negotiating rates, and managing supplier performance.
    • Managed budgeting, cost control, resource allocation and preventive-maintenance planning across operations.
    • Oversaw on-site activity, tracking progress against agreed timelines and cost expectations through to handover.

Working across four sectors before finishing my degree gave me commercial judgement early — how pricing, suppliers, and operational decisions connect, and what it costs when they don't.

  5. Alumni Programs

    McKinsey & Company

    • McKinsey Forward Program · October – December 2025 — Structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving. MECE structuring. Pyramid Principle communication. Case-based work with cross-functional, multicultural teams.
    • Digital & AI Essentials for Alumni · June 2026 — Selected for the alumni track. Generative AI and agentic AI use cases, responsible AI adoption, and building a personal digital learning plan.
